Dust-free filling thanks to the piFLOW®t vacuum conveyor with pre-separator

Background

A medium-sized company in the filling, weighing and packaging industry had a problem with the transport of a drying agent for the automotive sector.

The employee carried out the manual filling, which was at a height of 2.5 meters, and that created an accumulation of dust. A requirement of the company was nearly dust-free filling of the drying agent into small sachets.

Solution

By using the piFLOW®t vacuum conveyor with pre-separator, a gentle entry of the drying agent (small beads) into the conveyor is made possible. Thanks to a controlled, low and constant speed and the elimination of all sharp edges, the piFLOW®t vacuum conveyor, together with the piGENTLE® control, gently protects the beads without damage.

Result

The customer opted for the Piab solution because we were able to achieve almost dust-free filling of the drying agent by using the piFLOW®t vacuum conveyor with pre-separator. Furthermore, the filling process has been automated, leading to a more ergonomic working condition.
