Help for strawberry shortcake lovers
With Piab's combination of conveying, gripping and lifting tools, strawberry shortcakes can be baked quickly and safely packed for transport.
If you love strawberry shortcake, you will surely be interested in how it gets freshly baked and well packaged in your freezer so that you always have a piece ready.
With the piFLOW®p SMART, flour, sugar and all other powdered ingredients for the cake base are added directly to the mixer in the correct mixing ratio. Thanks to the auto-tuning function, the change from one ingredient to the other can be done in just 10 minutes, six times faster than before manually. Accordingly, further cake bases can be produced more quickly.
To avoid anyone in the bakery injuring their back when unloading the flour and sugar sacks into the feed station of the piFLOW®p SMART, there is the piLIFT® SMART. Piab’s vacuum lifter makes handling 40 kg sacks child's play. It counts and weighs how much powder has been emptied into the removal station. This allows the employee to concentrate on the preparation of the covering.
Once the cake base is baked, it can be placed directly on a cardboard mat where Piab’s latest coup, the Mini Cobot Gripper, picks up and places. At just 270 grams, the Mini Cobot Gripper is a featherweight among the Cobot grippers. It can lift up to five kilograms and has a height of only 28 millimeters.
Thanks to the piSOFTGRIP®, strawberries can be automatically placed in the cake base with a cobot or industrial robot. It handles the sensitive fruits gently and yet safely with its combination of vacuum chamber and fingers.
Once the strawberry shortcake has been shrink-wrapped and packed in boxes, Piab’s usual handling tools such as piGRIP® suction cups and the powerful COAX®-based vacuum ejectors can be used to place the boxes in the outer packaging and stack them on a pallet.
